Banaras Hindu University, MBBS admission notice 2012
The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will grasp All India competitive written test for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in two stages – PMT-2012 screening and PMT-2012 main, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS (50 seats) and BPharm (33 seats) courses in one phase – PMT-2012 Screening.
For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharma courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2012 screening only.
PMT-2012 screening shall be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2012 main examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Varanasi Centre only.
Number of seats in BAMS course may amplify subject to approval by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
The application form can be obtained from Bank of Baroda, BHU Branch, S.S. Hospital, Varanasi upto March 12, 2012.
Application form can be obtained for Rs.1500 for Gen/OBC and for Rs.1000 for SC/ST candidates from various branches of Bank of Baroda.
The application form accordingly completed must be sent during registered post so as to reach The Director (PMT cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 latest by March 15, 2012.
Application forms received after the last date shall not be accepted. Foreign nationals are not compulsory to appear in the PMT examination for MBBS/BDS/BAMS courses. They may seek admission through the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as per the rules laid down for the purpose and their proposal must reach by July 15, 2012.
