One such invitation was the “Passionista Holiday Luncheon” that was held on Sunday, November 20th at the picturesque Sedona Arizona attractionCucina Rustica restaurant located in the Tequa Marketplace in the Village of Oak Creek.

The luncheon was a fabulous pre-holiday event where food and fashion meet, which was co-hosted by the Sedona International Film Festival and CucinaRustica Chef Lisa Dahl, owner & chef of award-winning restaurants in Sedona (CucinaRustica and Dahl &DiLuca), and founder of LivingDahl.com.

‘Passionista Holiday Luncheon’ featured an autumn-tinged menu at CucinaRustica and works of art and fashion from guest of honor actor Ronnie Claire Edwards, star of the TV series “The Waltons”.

The lunched started at 11:30am where delicious welcome drinks and appetizersgreeted the guests on the patio. Then, the attendees were brought into the CucinaRusticadining rooms at delectable three-course luncheon that featured beautiful seasonal offerings from Lisa Dahl’s award-winning cookbook “The Elixir of Life”.

Ms. Dahl signed copies of her amazing cookbook, “The Elixir of Life: Finding Love and Joy in the Passionate Pursuit of Food” which is a combination gorgeous coffee table book and DVD opens readers’ eyes and hearts to an amazing journey of travel, spirituality and cuisine. From simple soups to sauces, from salads to side dishes, “The Elixir of Life Cookbook” covers the essential necessities for creating a meal. It also serves as an in-depth look into the life, experiences and inspirations that shape an Italian chef. “We were so blessed to have actor and artist Ronnie Claire with us for the Passionista Holiday Luncheon,” said Ms. Dahl. “We love her work and we thought others would find her work just as enchanting as we do. Our food certainly complemented the event, and it was all for a great cause, so it’s just a win-win all the way around.”

I learn to share and share to learn. It is true, I have a romance with food because so much of life can be satisfied by congregating around a healthy and vibrate lifestyle.

Proceeds from the event benefit the film festival’s scholarship and student film programs. A percentage of profits will went to Hearts for the Hungry and Homeless as a Thanksgiving donation.
