Small Adjustments that Make a Difference
It is both funny and interesting to think of how even the slightest difference on a certain process or object can mean entire worlds of difference between the “then” and the “now”. I guess this is what is usually called “The Butterfly Effect” where a butterfly beating its wings on one side of the world can cause a tornado on the other side—or at least something to that effect. Taking this in relation to cheap postcards and cheap postcard printing, there are certainly a lot of minor adjustments to be made in order to make the entire process much faster, smoother, and hassle-free than what you are used to. This applies especially to commercial printing companies who would want to improve their performance without taking any measures that would be deemed too drastic and reckless by some.
Tweak your ordering procedure. You probably have no idea how such a minor thing can make things much easier for customers, but even a slight improvement in speed and convenience when it comes to the ordering process can mean the world between a satisfied customer and a grumpy one. Switching over into online ordering and printing, for example, can speed up the process enough that even the stingiest customers would be willing to pay just to experience the most convenient and relaxing commercial printing experience possible. Even just offering actual sample designs and sizes immediately will shave a bit of precious time off your work period, time that would be better spent doing something even more important.
Optimize your production schedule. Again an issue that has something to do with the time you put in when creating a customer’s full color postcards, photo postcards, and custom postcards, the printing stage itself is undeniably a crucial consideration. The question is how you will be able to optimize your production schedule so that you would be working at maximum efficiency without wasting any time idling or trying to fix some things that could go wrong along the way. Batch printing is perhaps the best example for this, because the main aim of batch printing is to increase efficiency and speed, and if this strategy is not right for you, it is certain that there is a strategy somewhere that is.
Automate small tasks. The power of technology is both an amazing and a scary thing. In this case, though, we are hoping that you would be able to take advantage of all of the perks that come with having high quality equipment so that you would be able to leave all of the small, relatively easier tasks in the hands—or claws— of your commercial printing tools. This leaves you free to improve on any other aspect of your commercial printing that you find lacking, time to work on your quality prints designs or simply practice the sales talk you would be using on your unsuspecting customers.
Obviously, the things listed above mostly apply to postcard printing companies who are curious on some of the easier things they could do in order to get more out of their business transactions. On the other side of the cheap postcards, though, there is another story seen through the eyes of the commercial printing customer, but this is an entirely different discussion.
