Water for NGO helps to serve a large number of under privileged people

The universal saying, “Water is life” is known to everybody. A moment in life could hardly be spent without water. Pure clean drinking water is only in the dreams of millions of the world inhabitants. Governments and administrators in various parts of the world are spending millions of dollars in order to bring in pure drinking water to their countrymen. Many countries in the African and Asian regions are going in full throttle to achieve the Millennium goals of the United Nations.

These Millennium goals are as follows

  • Nutritious wholesome food, at least twice a day
  • A Shelter above themselves
  • Primary Literacy
  • Special assistance for those, who live on less than $1 a day

Apart from the above, there are many related things involved to make our life sustainable in the long run. There are many organisations working on the concept of water for NGO, in order to provide safe, clean and pure drinking water to a large number of inhabitants of the developing countries of the developing world. These Non- governmental –organisations operate by themselves in providing various types of technical or other benefits to that concerned government. They also provide various types of financial benefits from various institutions.

It is said that the scarcity of sweet water is so much, that water wars are the next catastrophe the world is to face within a few decades. Then it will be a terrible situation, nations will fight with each other to get hold of a river and ensure the safety of its citizens. The world population is increasing on an incremental phase and the demand for water is naturally on the rise. Only, non profitable organisations like the water for NGO is working almost round the clock to provide safe and clean drinking water to its citizens.

It is a tragedy that the world is covered by almost 70% water but only 2.5 of it is safe water. The majority of it is frozen in icecaps and the remaining in soil moisture. Some water is available deep down as underground aquifers. They are mostly in accessible as ground water. The majority of the world population hardly gets access to less than 1% of fresh water. Non profitable organisations, like the water for NGO is working in this effort of providing safe clean drinking water from the available resources. They are also involved in various types of research activities in order to quench the thirst of a growing number of people.
