Team Spirit with Trophies for Corporations
An overview of how some of the more successful companies will present achievement awards to hardworking staff.
Employees that claim to be so content with their work that they would happily do their job for free are often exaggerating and not being realistic at all. Although many of us cannot say we have an occupation we really love and are only involved in the work we do to make a living, there are some company employees that tend to be far more motivated than others.
SMEs or large corporations that appreciate the benefits to be gained from presenting achievement awards to hardworking staff at the end of the year or once a month, should be able to increase the firm’s productivity by a significant amount. Company CEOs that show they recognise and appreciate the efforts their dedicated teams or individuals put into the business are likely to see a more motivated workforce.
What some companies will do in order to try to create a team spirit amongst a group of employees in a particular department is either offer teambuilding courses for the staff to go on, or organise regular sporting events. There are plenty of firms that are involved in a number of sports where trophies will be handed out to teams and individual participants not only for winning, but for making an effort.
If we take a look at some of the successful CEOs with a number of companies under their belt, we may discover that many of these hardworking people are involved in at least one kind of sport. Although not all these company bosses will take part in competitions related to the sport they enjoy, they may wish to introduce an award system into their firm’s team activities.
Creating competition between departments in our corporation could be more beneficial than we at first thought, especially when individuals and teams are presented awards during monthly ceremonies. Handing out cheap awards that are likely to fall apart in a couple of weeks however, could have a negative effect on these events.
Although most people need to make a living in order to pay the mortgage or rent and afford various other regular outgoings, a salary is not the only thing that motivates employees to get out of bed in the morning in order to get to work. Lots of workers need something else to help keep them focussed on their job and refraining from calling in sick when they just can’t face going to the office.
