7 Tips to Save Heating Oil and Save Money

6.            Keep water heater’s temperature low: High temperature of water heater also adds some extra bucks to your heating bill. So try to keep the temperature of your water heater to 120 degree’s range. You can also cover the water pipes. One more solution to this is use of water heater blanket. It covers the tank and reduces heat loss.

7.            Programmable thermostat: One way of saving money is to turn down the heat when you are not home. But it’s not easy to remember it every time. You can make this task easier by installing a programmable thermostat. They are not that dear as well. You can get it only for $50.
