Tapes find their requirement everywhere, be it an industry or a common household. They are basically used to join any two parts. Now it depends on the type of parts one wishes to join. If it is for a simple household purpose, then any normal tape can do, whereas a heavy duty tape is required if it is for an industrial purpose. The tape should be able to hold the two objects without disintegrating. Therefore, it should be resistant to friction and rubbing.

It is mainly used for the purpose of packing. Packing of heavy duty objects such as shipping cartons, heavy boxes and containers can be done with ease with the help of acrylic tapes. Electrical wiring is sealed using acrylic foam tapes. Automotive industry uses these tapes extensively as they use acrylic tapes in place of metal fasteners. Metal fasteners used to cause rust, which was highly undesirable. Acrylic tapes have shunned the risks of rust. They are also impervious to high temperatures. Acrylic tapes are highly durable and affordable at the same time.
