As an organization you also hold some responsibility towards your customer and thus it is more or less the duty of the organization to make sure you get the employee propel trained for the customer handling and let them know the best practices and handle the situation properly. There may be many instances when you may like to take some alternative way to get the work done as there are many practices which may not look ethical but more successful, but we need to understand these unethical ways may be exposed some day and can cause defame to the business and thus can cause a lot of harm to the hard earned reputation of the business.
