Getting the Features You Need in Pocket Size Cameras
The ever growing wonders of pocket sized cameras include their use of use and their solid technology. It’s all designed to take photos that are crisp, clear, and vivid in color and detail. There is plenty of flexibility in the available accessories and options for photo qualities such as the softness of objects. Quality in certain can be affected if the camera maker focuses all their attention on one area. Today we’re bringing you a discussion of three pocket size cameras that you should acquaint yourself with so you’ll have a richer understanding when it’s time to shop.
The Canon PowerShot S90 is terrific for those who favor high quality images taken indoors without using a flash. Many camera makers create a line of cameras that have some specific strong point or feature. With its wide angle lens and ability to capture subtle details, the S90 performs well in conditions with little light. You can also use the large display for viewing your pictures.
Those that like being in control over their photographic compositions find that this camera offers them that. You can choose to manually control aperture, sensitivity, and shutter speed using this camera. This camera is a great choice for this reason as well as its easy to use interface. Next in line for our discussion is the Canon PowerShot SD870 IS. There are not a lot of differences over the SD850 IS camera, but there are some attractive cosmetic differences, though. This camera upgrades from 8 to 8.3 megapixels and 2.5 to 3 inches for the LCD screen. The Digic III image processor, which is a new image processor is some of the most advanced technology the camera has to offer. This camera has shorter processing time partly due to the phenomenal face detection feature that is capable of detecting up to nine faces. The updated version feature a touchpad that not only is more responsive but also happens to have better ergonomics.
With lots of manual features, the Canon PowerShot S95 is good for those that like to work with their hands. Plus the photos produced from this little gem are certainly worthy of note, too. With a more reasonable 10 megapixel resolution, this ultra compact camera includes a multimedia card, SD memory card, and a 3 inch LCD. The flash used on this camera is the pop up variety. Many of the features are left-over from the S90 which is fine because there was nothing wrong with them, and they’re still great. One good piece of news is the video resolution is greater in the PowerShot S95 improving to 720p. Another feature is you can now capture up to three photos at different intervals of exposure. The camera uses these captured photos to give you one photo with more detail in all respects. Canon has a more than solid reputation for high quality in many areas of production including digital pocket size cameras. Even though the name has been around for quite some time it continues to be the first name many people turn to when it’s time to take casual photographs. You may find cameras that offer more robust features but they generally come with a higher sticker price.
