Frangelico Hazelnut
Fragelico brother must have been a real clever and fun-loving monk, as he wrote over 300 years ago in the rolling hills of Piedmont, the formulation of this incomparable Liqueurs. The unique flavor of this delicious liqueur made from wild hazelnuts, berries and fruits of Piedmont has achieved to date no other hazelnut liqueur. Frangelico is a trademark of Noisette, or hazelnut and herbal liqueur (colored with caramel), in Canale, Italy is produced. It is 20% alcohol by volume, 40 proof. It used to be, it is 24% alcohol by volume, 48 proof. It was published in the 1980s to focus attention primarily because of its unusual packaging: its bottle was designed to look like a monk, complete look with a knotted white cord around the waist. It is most commonly available in two sizes: 750ml and 375ml.
Frangelico can be used to treat many different cocktails, how to make the Hazelnut Martini, the Frangelico Colada, and Frangelico and cranberry juice. It can also be combined with vodka to make the shot Chocolate Cake. For a quick and easy drink, it can be served over ice with club soda or coffee.
According to the manufacturer, the name of the liqueur to a legend of a hermit named Fra Angelico, the base “created unique recipes for liqueurs.” However, the bottle itself is most similar to the habit of a Franciscan monk, while the Liquor is probably namesake, the famous painter Fra Angelico, was a Dominican, whose robe was white and are entitled without the cingulum.
Frangelico is made in a similar way to some other nut liqueurs: nuts are divided and in combination with cocoa, vanilla berries and other natural flavors, and then left to act in the base spirit.
