I know weight shouldn’t matter. Personality should matter most, but let’s be honest guys; that’s not how life works. Looking good gets you farther in life. You get better jobs, you get more friends and you have more options when it comes to dating. I know this sounds terrible but I’ve lived on both sides of the spectrum now and I can tell you that; at least for me, these things were all true.
You see, I was always overweight, for as long as I can remember. I don’t know what it was, no matter what I tried to do; nothing would work. I just gained weight super easy and craved the things that were terrible for me. No matter how often I worked out and how many calories I counted, nothing was working out.
What was so frustrating was how people treated me because it. I can’t tell you how many people told me they wanted me to take care of myself and they would try to get me not to eat certain things. It’s like; no one in the whole world seemed to realize how well I was taking care of myself. Just because they got the simple results, fast; they thought I could do the same. It was so hard to explain to people and unless they spent a lot of time with me, they just thought I was making up excuses. Trust me, I get it. I really do. I mean, if it wasn’t for my personal experiences, I probably would have felt the same way that they did.
When my mom finally realized that I had a serious problem and that I wasn’t just lazy, she started to really step it up and try to help me find something that would work for me. Everything we found was super questionable and so expensive. I got extremely tired of wasting my money.
