Samsung SPH-P9000 Review
The Samsung SPH-P9000 is much more than a phone; it is a complete multimedia and communications device. This is one of the newest types of devices that merge voice, multimedia, and data communications all in one device. One of the main features of this device is the ability to use WIMAX, which is a super fast wireless Internet broadband technology.
The SPH P9000 is the ultimate foldable device; in fact it looks more like origami art than a phone or PDA. The device can unfold so that media can be viewed on its large 5 inch screen, there is also a large QWERTY keyboard (a full size portable keyboard – not a thumb keyboard) that opens up for typing emails and documents.
The SPH P9000 also comes with a huge hard drive- 30 gigabytes which can hold an entire music collection, videos or data. Using the WIMAX technology you can easily stream and synch new video and media to the device.
The SPH P9000 weighs a little over a pound, but for so much functionality in one unit, it is a decent size and weight. Expect this device to easily substitute all your portable devices you are currently carrying, including a phone, PDA, MP3 player and video iPod.
This device makes it extremely easy to create or edit documents and create emails, it runs using Microsoft Windows XP operating system, so it is extremely easy and familiar to use. Overall, this device is much more than a phone, PDA smart phone, etc; it is the ultimate in a portable multimedia device. Other great features include a 1.3 mega pixel camera and the ability to work on CDMA networks (North American wireless providers).
