Vacation Rentals in Whistler Canada – Your Priority in Planning Your Trip
Whistler, British Columbia is one of the best ski resorts in North America. This is at least what I heard about the place. Then I went there four years ago, and yes, I was made a believer.
If you are planning to spend your vacation in Whistler, well I guess you’ll be more excited if you know more about this place. I have here some valuable information about the place to help you know what to expect.
Attractions and Lodging
The famous Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, each with an elevation of more than 7,000 feet, make it among the finest ski destinations. No wonder it was chosen to be the Host Mountain Resort for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Yes, I was there for a couple of days. Every year, over two million tourists (including me, and I’m proud of that) visit Whistler. Vacation rentals, not surprisingly, abound in the community.
As expected, the town gets its fair share of the snow and cold weather. This is why you need to find a cozy place to stay in. If you are travelling with your family or with some friends, I suggest you go for a ski chalet. In case you prefer a more intimate Whistler vacation rental, you may find a luxury condo in the heart of the village. Honeymooners usually go for this option. Whether you are working on a small budget for your trip, you can find an ideal vacation home rental.
Activities
You can also go for a rental where the white majestic mountain is literally at your doorstep. Coming out of your house rental in your complete ski attire, you can get your adrenaline pumping as you go down the slope. Other than skiing and snowboarding, you can also try tubing, snowmobiling, and sleigh riding. For a more mellow activity, you can enjoy the magnificent views by taking a gondola ride to the peak with your partner or with your friends. You will never go hungry because there are plenty of restaurants in the place. Believe me, they serve really good food.
After a day of fun activities, you can visit some entertainment areas and enjoy some live music and dancing. Vacationers usually visit some fine dining locations in the town center before retiring to their cozy Whistler vacation rentals.
Summer
In case you wish to visit the place during the summer, Whistler can also offer you a lot of fun. You can go hiking and biking at the top of Blackcomb. The view of the village from the peak will just leave you breathless. You can also go for an ecology tour where you can see the bears in their natural habitat. Zip lining between the pine trees is never a bad idea, at least for me. When you have had enough of that adrenaline rush, you can head to the Whistler Golf Club and other excellent golf courses.
If you are coming with your kids, make sure to take them to Blackcomb Base Adventure Zone. They can have fun with the luge rides, mini-golf, rock-climbing, and other exciting activities.
These are only a few activities you can enjoy near a wide range of Whistler vacation rentals. I suggest you plan your trip early and search for your accommodation options online. Many Canadian online travel agencies can help you choose excellent vacation rentals in Whistler, Canada.
