Xavier Thoma Has Had An Interest In Downhill Skiing Since Childhood
The founder of Globefin European Advisors Ltd, Xavier Thoma is an adventure lover and has been passionate about downhill skiing since his childhood. He enjoys the thrill of sliding on snow and goes skiing at least one week a year. He also loves kite surfing, windsurfing and classic sailboats. He has an offshore boating license in France, which helps him hire boat during travels. Moreover, he is a passionate traveler who is open to new discoveries and loves traveling to new destinations and exploring new cultures, smells, tastes and sceneries.
Xavier Thoma is also an amateur cook, having inherited his mother’s cooking talents. He likes trying out new dishes. Xavier Thoma is a highly qualified professional and holds Masters of Engineering degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University. He completed his secondary education in France at the American School of Paris and received International Baccalaureate- a high-school certification which is globally recognized. While attending ASP, he studied higher level courses in Maths, Physics, English and French, and lower level courses in Economics and Psychology.
In addition, Xavier Thoma also completed a Theory of Knowledge (Philosophy) course, and took part in pan-European Maths competition held in Sweden. After completing his education, Xavier started working at JP Morgan & Co. Ltd. as a Corporate Finance Analyst and was soon promoted to Associate. After three years, he joined Morgan Stanley & Co. Ltd. as an Associate and advised clients in Switzerland, the United States, Benelux and France. In 2003, he established Globefin European Advisors Ltd. and worked as its Chief Executive Officer and Director until June 2011. At present, he is pursuing opportunities in the real-estate space to acquire and develop properties.
