Jesús del Pozo (born 21 December 1946, Madrid, Spain – died 13 August 2011, Madrid) was a Spanish fashion designer. Del Pozo was the recipient of numerous professional awards during his career.
In 1974 he opened his first menswear store, in 1976 presented his first menswear collection in Paris SEHM. In 1980 presented his collections of ready-to-wear for women in Cibeles Madrid, in 1989 in the Fashion Foundation of Tokyo, and in 1990 in La Cour Carree of the Louvre in Paris.
In 1992 Jesús del Pozo made his entry into the world of perfume with “Duende”, his first feminine fragrance, which is followed by “Quasar” (1994), “Essence of Duende” (1996), “Halloween” (1997) , “Quasar Adventure” (1999), “J. del Pozo In Black “(2005),” Halloween Kiss “(2008) and” Amber “(2010). Similarly, between 1992 and 1994 he made his collections of lingerie, jewelry and scarves. In late of 1996 show in ‘Barcelona Fashion “his first collection of ready-to-wear dresses. In the same year Jesús del Pozo began producing industrially his prêt-à-porter women. In 1997, he launches his new brand “JDP” in Japan, the hand of Daimaru Inc, achieving introduced in five stores.
Designer Jesus Del Pozo created more than 20 perfumes. The earliest edition was created in 1992 and the newest is from 2012. Jesus Del Pozo fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Pierre Wargnye, Marie Salamagne, etc
Del Pozo passed away in August 2011, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful fashions for an important time in Spain’s history, as well as a legacy of education and professionalism in the fashion industry. But he left one of the famous fragrance for women “Halloween”.
