Krabi
Krabi is a wonderful province in Thailand. It is a popular holiday destination for people from many parts of the world. The area has something for everyone and is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It has beautiful beaches fringed by palm trees including the untouched beach at Had Yao. There are beautiful mountains there and many people never forget seeing the beautiful Jum Mountain. People also love the cliffs, or cliff walls at the beautiful Ao Nang beach.
The people are warm and welcoming and the food is wonderful too. If you love seafood, you will be in heaven.
Adventurous Krabi
As well as the peace and tranquillity of the beach and countryside, there is plenty of opportunity for adventure. Rai Leh is where everyone goes to enjoy rock climbing. The huge Marine National Park has something to offer everyone. Diving is very popular in all areas of Krabi.
Accommodation in Krabi
There is a wide variety of accommodation in the province. You can choose from basic bed and breakfast accommodation to luxury hotels. However, most people stay in a villa. There are some fantastic villas in the area, with more being built. Development has been done carefully, so there is plenty of space between the villas meaning that most of them have private gardens and space around the pool.
Getting Around Krabi
Most people fly into Krabi International Airport which is 10 kms from the city of Krabi, and only 40km from the beautiful Ao nang beach. This means that there are no long airport transfers to worry about. You can hire a car while you are there, but there is also a great bus service to all areas of Krabi from the airport. If you want to see a local tourist attraction, it is easy because there is a network of public passenger pick-up vehicles called Songthaews. To see some of the tourist attractions you have to use a boat, but tour operators make sure that the boat trip is part of the day out. There is a lot of water sports available in Krabi, including some great diving.
