Using Windows Complete PC Restore, Windows Server 2008 searches for the location of a full ccna exam backup and uses it to restore the operating system from the ground up. At first, PC Restore will search either a DVD drive or a USB drive for the appropriate ?les.
Using the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, you can search the computer?s physical memory to check for any system errors. This way, if you’ve been experiencing consistent read, write, or access problems, you can identify them via this low-level tool.
With WinRE, you have full access to the command prompt. This allows you to move ?les, access the Wbadmin tool, and perform functions using Windows?most basic (and arguably most powerful) mode.
You can access the Windows Recovery Environment via one of four methods:
Boot from the installation CD Place the installation CD into the CD drive, reboot from
the CD upon the boot selection device, and then select Repair.
Deploy from Windows Deployment Services (WDS) You can access the Windows Recovery
Environment using Windows Deployment Services.
Create a bootable WinRE disk Using either Backup Business Deployment or the Windows
Automated Installation Kit, you can create a bootable Windows recovery disk.
Create a bootable WinRE partition You can create an entire partition dedicated to the
Windows Recovery Environment.
In earlier versions of both Windows Server and Windows Server 2008, shadow copies 70-680 have always been one of the most prized resources of the busy administrator. Using Volume Shadow Copy, administrators are able to restore previous versions of ?les without the need for exten- sive backup procedures.
With Volume Shadow Copy, existing images of the current Windows Server state are taken and compared with future changes made to the Windows network environment. Then, if a version of a particular ?le doesn?t match the original state of the image, Volume Shadow Copy stores the changes made to this ?le in a given area determined by the administrator. At this point, the Previous Versions tab, as shown in Figure 8.5, appears in the properties of a ?le.
