Beats vs Bose IE2
This will be quick- These new sport ear buds are comfortable and give a superior sound, especially base. The Beats headphones have better lows but the highs are not nearly as comparable to the IE2’s by Bose. Beats By Dre USA The Beats fit well and this design is very comfortable. The Beats ability to block sound is much superior to that of the IE2 by Bose. Overall, considering it’s a big bud, the Beats by dre fit well. I might go as far to say maybe a little better than the Bose but not by much and the Bose are much smaller and lighter.
Quality-
-The Beats look okay and feel well built.
– The product comes with an additional cord, too bad the original cord seems just barely too small. This was a problem for me running on a treadmill where I put my IPOD in the holder.
-The cord is smaller than the original IPOD cord.
-I commute via walking daily and these are nowhere near as easy to wear as original Ipod buds. They do not slip on and off as easily.
-The jack appears not to be a good design, mine showed wear after very little use, this will likely be a problem spot.
-The right ear bud went out on mine after continual use of the IPOD control piece. More parts, more problems.
– Not sure why Monster is teamed up here if this product is going to be a quality control issue. The guy at BestBuy informed me that these buds are known for that.
The IE2 replaced my Beats, the price was cheaper and the quality of the design appears far superior, that is, now that I’ve had both, I feel on average the IE2 will outlast the average pair of Beat’s buds.
