Hana Oceanfront Cottages during Taro Festival
Mid April every year Hana town has one of their biggest events called the Taro Festival. Visiting for a day is great but having an opportunity to stay at one of Hana’s vacation rentals, Hana accommodations, or Hana vacation homes or B&B’s is the way to go. The event is three days and is very educational and showcases products made with Taro and other produce grown in Hana.
Hana vacation rentals are at a premium during this event. In the Hana township area there are probably less than 100 Hana accommodations including the one Hana Hotel, the one Hana condo project and a small number of Hana vacation homes, Hana vacation cottages and bungalows, and Hana B and B’s. Hana is isolated and does not offer hundreds of choices of places to stay in the Hana area, so if you are planning to come to Taro Festival you will have to spend some time trying to find some sort of Hana accommodation such as a Hana vacation home or Hana vacation rental.
Going on line and doing a search for Hana vacation rentals is the best way to go. You can also try typing in Hana accommodations, Hana B and B’s, Hana condos, Hana Hotels, Hana vacation homes or Hana Cottages and you will find lists of these types of Hana accommodations. One thing to do is to ask or referrals as Hana is a small town and everyone knows who has a Hana vacation rental or a Hana vacation home or Cottage or has some sort of Hana rentals and they can refer you to places that you might not otherwise find.
Hana vacation rentals can vary in price with on small Hana vacation rental offering a bedroom and a shared bath for around $45 to the one Hana Hotel charging around $1,000 night. Then there are all the other Hana vacation rentals, Hana vacation homes and Hana B and B’s that are usually around the mid one hundred to close to three hundred. You really get what you pay for in Hana and if there is an oceanfront vacation rental in Hana and it says it is under $100 there is a reason for it.
