They make cellular devices that aren’t available with music players, 3G support, or touch screen displays – they just include the essential features that the average person needs in order to communicate with their loved ones. The clamshell styled Samsung SGH-A437 is just the phone you would expect from a company like Samsung.
The Samsung SGH-A437 is a quad band GSM phone which can be used anywhere in the world simply by switching the SIM card whenever you travel. However, the Samsung SGH-A437 offers no 3G support, so if you are looking to transmit data, you are stuck on the older, slower, GPRS or EDGE network. This feature will also work anywhere in the world.
When it comes to size and shape, you will find that the Samsung SGH-A437 can slide into any pocket or purse with a flick of the wrist. Measuring in at approximately three and a half inches by two inches by half an inch, the Samsung SGH-A437 is a tiny phone. In fact, it is approximately the size of the new RAZR2 from Motorola. The Samsung SGH-A437 is also lighter, weighing in at only 81 grams. The battery life is average, allowing for five hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time.

Are there other phones on the market that are better than the Samsung SGH-A437 and in the same price range? Certainly. But Samsung does build an excellent phone with a straightforward interface and a durability that will allow the device to last for years.
