Samsung SCH-U550 Review
The Samsung SCH-U550 from Verizon Wireless is a slight upgrade from the SCH-U540. It is aimed at the entry-level segment of the cell phone market. It is easy to use and boasts good voice quality but is not designed with any high-end features. Many consumers like it because it is sold at a relatively budget friendly price.

While the Samsung SCH-U550 is very standard and classical in its look, this flip phone has a more up-to-date and classically modern look than the models that came before it. The pewter-gold color of the casing is very becoming to the eye. On the front of the U550 there is an inlayed two-tone plastic facing. This is where the external display can be found as well as the 1.3 MP camera and the touch-sensitive music control buttons.
The external display of the Samsung SCH-U550 is the same one that can be found on the Samsung Gleam. It is a small 1-inch 96 x 96 pixel resolution TFT. The phone also features Bluetooth wireless capabilities for a number of items including headsets, hands free, dial-up networking profiles, serial port, not to mention object push for vCard.
VCAST Video is possible by way of the U550, as is Verizon Wireless’ multimedia service for news, sports as well as entertainment video clips. You can also have access to 3D games and VCAST Music.
