The Full List of Mayfair Restaurants with Michelin Stars
Mayfair is perhaps most famous for its inclusion on the British monopoly board. However, it is also well known for its fashionable hotels, boutiques and restaurants. In fact, Mayfair restaurants between them boast the largest concentration of Michelin stars in the UK.
If you’re a committed gastronome, then Mayfair is definitely worth a visit. To help you plan your trip, I’ve put together a complete list of local restaurants with Michelin stars, so you can be sure that you’re getting the best dining experience from a district which is known for the finest food London can offer.
Mayfair Restaurants with Three Michelin Stars
There’s only one restaurant in this category – not surprising when you consider the fact that England only has four eateries which hold the coveted three-Michelin-star status. Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is part of this exclusive club, and rightly so – it arguably serves up the best French food in the UK. In 2003, Alain Ducasse was honoured with the title of Finest Chef in the World by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences.
Mayfair Restaurants with Two Michelin Stars
Being awarded with two Michelin stars is an incredible achievement in itself – especially when you consider that only around 17 restaurants in the UK have achieved this accolade. The area boasts four of these restaurants: Le Gavroche, which since 1991 has served up modern French cuisine under the guidance of Michel Roux Jr; Helene Darroze at The Connaught, run by one of the world’s most distinguished French chefs; Hibiscus, which has only been established in London since 2007, but managed to retain the two stars it earned whilst it was based in Shropshire; and Square, which stylishly completes the quartet of French restaurants in Mayfair with two Michelin Stars.
