Strength training is the best and most beneficial method for fat loss. By building muscle, you are boosting your metabolism and assisting your body to burn even more calories. Also, with strength training, your body begins to burn a large number of calories even after you have finished training. So watch TV and STILL burn calories!

With strength training you have a lot of options. For beginners or someone who doesn’t have access to a gym or equipment, bodyweight exercises are an excellent option for fat loss.

Some key points for doing strength training are:

– Make sure to warm up and stretch before your workout starts;
– Lift weights in a slow, steady movement;
– Don’t forget to breathe!;

For maximum results, it is best to perform strength training workouts at least 3 times per week. To burn extra fat, follow up strength training with 30 minutes of cardio. Don’t overdo it! Make sure to change up your workouts every 6-8 weeks to avoid a fat loss plateau. Fat loss plateau can also be prevented with overfeeding for 1 day. Just try and overfeed with healthy foods!
