Samsung SCH-R300 Review
?The Samsung SCH-R300 is a basic clamshell CDMA phone with not so basic features. It is offered by MetroPCS and is one of their more popular phones to date. The internal antenna provides for a smooth top and a great feel. The Samsung SCH-R300 is a must for cell phone users who prefer the clamshell form!
For a clamshell design, the Samsung SCH-R300 is surprisingly light weight, weighing in at only 2.9 oz. Total talk time is just at three hours with a standby time of nearly two weeks! This allows one the freedom of not having to tote around a power cord everywhere they go.
The display on the Samsung SCH-R300 is excellent! The 16-bit LCD format looks great in both poor and excessive lighting conditions. The external display is monochrome with 96 x 96 pixels. The 1.07 inches of width provide amble room to see time, signal strength and battery life. Its nighttime visibility is amazing.
One of the best features of this phone is its accessibility for the hearing impaired. It received a rating of M4, which means in layman’s terms that it is very hearing aid compatible. It is also equipped with digital TTY/TDD. This makes it a great seller among the millions of hearing impaired individuals in the U.S.
The contact list allows one to add up to five numbers per contact plus an email address. It also provides both picture and ringer id. The total number of contacts peaks out at a whopping five hundred!
The Samsung SCH-R300 is web browser friendly with BREW software and easy access to downloadable games.
