The Arizona Department of Public Safety has the authority to issue an Arizona Concealed Carry permit. However, Arizona is a constitutional carry state. This means that the law does not restrict carrying a concealed weapon (CCW). It is legal for law abiding citizens to carry concealed handguns and other firearms, with or without a permit. Although legal, it isn’t very wise to walk around carrying a concealed handgun without knowing all the implications. Arizona CCW classes are offered throughout the state.
