General Guideline for Glassware
So many people are fond of glassware and cutlery. The dadibhais has a huge collection of various classic glassware for decorating their kitchen and dining hall. But these items need almost care for keeping their charm and shine alive for long. Proper handling and care is required for maintaining these delicate glass odds and ends.
How delicate the glassware is determines the amount of care needed to maintain it. This is done because if any insinuation of detergent is left in the glassware especially the wineglasses, the taste of wine, champagne etc. diminishes as it hinders the bubbling the drinks. After the wash, they should be handled carefully. Hand washing is best preferred for the crystal glassware decreasing their chance of breakage. Utter care should be taken for drying the washed ones also. After washing, they must be placed on a drying board and wiped with a clean micro fibre piece of material. Before storing your expensive glassware, a quick wash with warm water should be given so would not smell stale or gather some dust over them. An individual lid over the glass utensil, then is should be removed before storing so that you can avoid the cloudiness which can occur due to the dampness.
Glassware should be kept out of the sunlight or any heat source as exposure to radiation can spoil the pleasant appearance of the glassware. Some kind of liquid which is left in the glassware for an extended time of time will leave its stains on it. Thus water should be changed frequently in the flower vases and also useless flower and leaves should be removed, they dry and keep to the walls of the glass vase. During the wash, one item should be washed during a period, to allow them to may not collide with each other and break. If somebody is shifting home from one place to another, then all the glassware should be wrapped in soft paper and should be kept in a box containing any cushion material inside it.
