Blancpain L-evolution Super Trofeo Flyback Chronograph
In the Baselworld 2010, reputable Watch maker Blancpain introduced its new birkin offerings for the 2010, and that attracted excited a great number of this brand’s fans. And I am very happy that the L-Evolution collection is injected with fresh blood. The most interesting new L-Evolution birkin, in my humble opinion, is the Blancpain L-evolution Super Trofeo Flyback Chronograph watch which is limited to just 600 piece worldwide.
While the similar Blancpain Speed Command Chronograph watch launched in 2008 featured a DLC-coated case that was a bit heavy and of wonderful scratch-resistant performance, the new L-Evolution birkin handbags comes with a titanium case that is very light but easy to get scratches. To ensure. The titanium birkin, with nice polished finishing, is fitted with a a carbon-fiber dial and lugs, which further ensures the light weight of the watch. The lugs are in fact separate components of the case since it is not possible to weld the carbon fiber fabric to titanium. And to show its close relationship with automotive sport, the birkin is presented on a sporty strap made of black Alcantara material. Absolutely flashy though, the Alcantara is not a good material for strap as it wears out much faster than good leather. Personally, I think the watch will be perfect if it was fitted with a bracelet crafted from forged carbon fiber.
And like the 2008 model, the Blancpain L-evolution Super Trofeo Flyback Chronograph birkin houses the Caliber F185 automatic chronograph movement that features a flyback complication and 40-hour power reserve. Composed of 308 individual parts finished by hand, this 37-jewel automatic movement is just 26.2 mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick.
It is said that this new Blancpain costs not less than a new VW Golf.
