Second to None!
We had a call late last week about supplying 7 second hand office desks for a good friend of one of the staff in here in the office. We actually don’t supply second hand office furniture. However, we never shy away from an inquiry for second hand furniture. He reason being is that we can very often supply brand spanking new office desks at similar prices to what’s on the second hand furniture.
Many second hand suppliers will only have one’s and two’s of a particular type of desk leaving you with odds and ends if you go down this particular route. Office furniture in Ireland has become much more competitive over the past number of years for very obvious reasons. I would hang my hat on the fact that for a few additional euro’s you could get a matching suite of new office desks, office chairs in matching fabric and office storage units, boardroom tables etc…
Now you may think this is an elaborate plan to get you to simply buy new office desking. But I challenge you to go and price up the two alternatives. A set of new office desks v’s a set of second hand desks. Remember to include the price of installation! You should be expecting to get your new office furniture installed and delivered for free.
A good office desk with a guarantee for 10 years can now cost you as little as €100, fully installed! In Celtic Tiger years these desks would be selling for closer to €175 each…I know, it’s a big drop!
