Even if it’s a simple brochure and a basic type, there is information that you would need to extract from the client so you know how the brochure would look like and also so the message can be delivered in clean and simple manner. There are three different types of brochures that are used. One is for the market to advertise the launch of services or products. One can use the brochure to educate or inform the mass – this is the educational brochure. Brochure can also be used to entertain. Rule of designing the brochure also applies to rules of pamphlet design. The brochure design company ties the target audience towards the piece of paper by using full proof effective expertise of their professional.
In brochure layout, there are two parts. One is the cover which is responsible for grabbing public’s attention and it has to be catchy. The second is where the message is delivered. If the brochure design company is to develop the brochure for advertising a product, the cover carries an attention grabbing image and message, while in the second layout inside, the primary focus is the product itself, its benefits and the call of action. Educational brochure design layout carries the jest message on the cover. The rest of the information is listed inside. Brochures that are only meant for entertaining public are quite basic. It contains drawings, puzzles, etc. For instance, one which is seen in the restaurants to keep the guests occupied while the delivery arrive.
The next thing to decide is number of panels. This is influenced by a number of aspects, like:
1) Volume of information in brochure
2) Use of the brochure
3) Cuts and folds in the design
4) Is it going to be direct mail piece? In that case, the layout has to follow the postal regulation.
5) Is there going to be a business reply card?
6) Budget of brochure
Whether it is for pamphlet design or designing a brochure, the designers need to follow specifications and parameters from client in order to proceed as well as the above six aspects. It has to meet the cost that the client is willing to put in.
Not only the above factors but printers also affect everything from the size of the paper, folding, trimming and the special cuts. The company, if it’s a professional, can print the entire content without the message getting lost in pamphlet folding and layout cut.
In fact, panel information of brochure has to be striking as well. So, each panel has to be individually considered together with the hierarchy of the information, so altogether it ultimately makes sense.
