Sunglasses are not just fashion accessories; they are also used as protective eye wears. They have dyed plastic or glass within a metal or plastic frame. They guard your eyes from intense light and blocks the UV rays that damages retina as well as the cornea. They offer protection from light glares reflecting from water surfaces. They also destroy certain light frequencies that can blur vision.

The lenses are vertically polarized which means that it blocks the horizontally oriented light resulting in the elimination of irritating glare. Thus, polarized sunglasses are also useful for joggers, bikers, golfers, skiers and those who spend most of their time in the sunlight.
