Have Your Fill of the Latest iPhone 5 Reports

The first smartphone ever unveiled by iPhone was released in the market in 2007. Since then, five generations of the mobile phone have already been launched, with the iPhone 4S being the latest inception. A particular feature of the iPhone 5 which has become a big hit to consumers is the Siri voice app. When you combine the Siri voice app with all the other features of the iPhone 4S, it is already a revolutionary smartphone by itself. However, rumours about the release of a newer model which is the iPhone 5 are already abounding. If the iPhone 4S is already a technological feat, what other things can users expect from the soon-to-be-released iPhone 5? That is exactly what we will learn more about here.

Plenty of Room for Improvement

For a gadget which has not even been released yet, there’s already plenty of buzz created by Apple’s iPhone 5. Just imagine how much bigger the noise will be once the actual smartphone is already released in the market. Rumour has it that the people behind the electronics giant will release the phone in time for the first anniversary of Steve Jobs’ death – but nobody knows for sure. What we do know now is that there are a few aspects of the features of the iPhone 4S which could still do with a few significant improvements.

Take a look at the following list:

  • The size of the display.

As compared to one of the iPhone’s direct competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S2 that has a 4.3-inch display, the iPhone only has a 3.5-inch display. The presence of the familiar Home button at the bottom of the handset is probably what makes it smaller than its other touchscreen counterparts. Rumour has it that the Home button’s location will be changed on the new design, or it will be scrapped altogether.

If the latter is true, then the iPhone 5 should have a nifty 4-inch display – or even something bigger. The problem is that having a bigger screen would pose problems for app developers who are making programs suited for a 3.5-inch display. Only the people behind Apple, Inc. really know whether there will be a change in the display size on the future release of the iPhone 5.

  • The performance of the smartphone’s RAM and other technological improvements.

Aside from the bigger display, the iPhone 5 is said to also incorporate HSPA+ technology support. This is good news for smartphone users because download speed can reach up to 21 mbps – that’s almost twice the speed of the iPhone 4S. The RAM of the iPhone 5 may also be improved. As compared to the 512 MB RAM that the iPhone 4S has, the iPhone 5 could have up to 1 GB of RAM.

  • The release date.

As mentioned earlier, the rumoured release date of the iPhone 5 is in time for the first anniversary of Steve Jobs death. If not that, then the product would surely be out by the last quarter of the year 2012.
