The types of coffee beverages
Coffee has gone a long way from growing as a bush in the East African region and more specifically in Ethiopia. It is very interesting to know that this is among the most taken beverages in Europe and America. Added to that is the fact that it is second to oil in being traded the world over.
This beverage is surprisingly not taken in a higher scale in the country of origin. This has been reduced to being grown primarily for sale but this is not bad as the constant demand can warrant for this behavior. When it reaches the countries where the demand is very high, it is sold to the consumers who do what they please with it for personal use or for commercial use by making the different beverages which are sold in restaurants and coffee joints.
So you walk into a coffee hut and you are completely new to the coffee scene and then take a look at their menu which is long and you go bonkers as you do not know any of the beverages that you see and then you end up ordering something you wish you hadn’t. This could be frustrating and could make you not ever fathom on ever visiting a café again.
There are endless types of coffee beverages with many names that are presently available in the market with each having names given by the different joints but what is more important is the content that they have.
There are some which contain milk or the cream. These are usually for those who love their cup less strong and with more flavors. The thing is that they have different types of milk ratios. That is why they might differ from one another while some will be more adventurous and add some vanilla essence and even chocolate flavors so as to give them distinct and refined tastes.
Some beverages even come with sprinkles for example cinnamon. This is to make it more presentable whereas some will be creamy on top so that they can be easily shaped into a form of design like a small tree or even a smiley face. This is very eye catching to say the least. Examples of the beverages that have milk include: café latte and cappuccino.
Then there are those types that come all black and strong, the espresso. These types are not for the faint hearted. They are normally very strong and probably if you are feeling a bit down and you need the extra energy booster then they can work out for you. They may have some cream but apart from that they will be black and strong.
Some types even come with liquor in them. This is pretty obvious that it will be a must hit with the alcohol consumers and it goes to show that coffee has a lot to offer to all. So when you go into a shop, make sure they understand what you want in your beverage and they will be gracious to offer you their best alternative.
