Sambalpur – Gateway to Bewitching Western Zone
Sambalpur town is situated in the Indian state of Orissa. Sambalpur is on the banks of the Mahanadi River, is a very famous tourist spot. The region once domiciled an ancient town during the second century and is now an important trade and commercial center. The island located in Hirakud Reservoir, is ariled with lush forest and is inhabited by wild cattle. The best time to visit Sambalpur is from November to June.
There are buses that you can take to Sambalpur too . Flights can also be taken to the closest airport that is situated in Bhubaneswar at a distance of around 256 kilometers. Trains can be taken to the town from many nearby regions like Rourkela, Ahmedabad, Puri and Howrah. These trains will charge minimum fares and will be very comfortable too.
