The Best Way to Clean Your Patio Doors
It is now time to get your dirty patio door cleaned up to let in more sunlight into your home.
You are probably planning a get-together for your family and you wish to smarten up your home for a barbeque or party. Or you simply wish to get rid of the stains left by the kids or pets. This article will show you the easiest and most economical way to get your patio doors cleaned up using products that you would most likely have in your home already.
Search for an inexpensive cleaning solution in your cupboards
In most households, there is usually an old vinegar bottle lying around in the pantry or beneath a kitchen sink. Get a mop bucket or spray bottle that is empty and fill it up with hot water. Make a solution of water and vinegar in the ration 2 to 1. What this means is that your solution should contain one part vinegar and two parts water. You can fill a bottle two thirds full with water, and fill up the rest with vinegar to create a natural cleaning liquid. You can introduce a drop of detergent used for washing dishes into the solution, if you have to remove grease stains on the glass fitted on your patio door.
Collect old newspapers lying about the house
You should stop thinking about using paper towels. If you want to get your doors to be sparkly clean, you should be aware that using plain old newspapers will always give you the best results. Also, this is an excellent method to recycle these newspapers. So after collecting the newspapers, they should be sorted into stacks of about twenty sheets. The papers should then be crinkled and wadded up into balls so you can use them to clean. Ensure that you wear protective gloves while doing this, particularly if you react negatively to newspaper print.
Get someone to assist you
You can start teaching your kids how to clean up their homes. If your children are not available to help you, you can ask your spouse or a friend to assist you. Whoever is helping you can hold the cleaning equipment for you as you do the cleaning, get rid of newspapers that have been used up or make sure you are safe when you have to climb up a lather to get to high spots. You can assign kids to clean up a part of the windows, therefore ensure that they put on protective goggles and gloves to keep their eyes and hands from harm.
Clean the outside of doors and windows first then the inside. Take all of your tools outside and be prepared to achieve some great results. Spray the cleaning solution on the whole surface of the frame and glass of the sliding door you want to start with. The vinegar and water solution can safely be used on any surface, so do not be worried if the frame of your door is wooden. Allow the solution to remain on the glass for approximately 1 minute. You should then get the newspapers that are waded up and use them to rub the door firmly doing so in circular movements. Once the newspaper gets soggy, throw it away and get a new one. As you continue to do this, you will observe that the glass will begin to shine. After cleaning the exterior doors, repeat the same process for the inside ones.
