Sony Ericsson W760 Review

Released at the same time as the Ericsson Z555a, the Sony Ericsson W760 is a flip phone of great style and personality. This hot phone offers such features as the ability to be used all over the world, and also as a great walkman. This phone even offers auto-rotation and shake-control for the screen. With a 2.2 inch display and QVGA system, the phone can display screen images in the normal 262K colors that so many are used to. This feature is a great help when surfing the web or looking at photos on the phone. This phone even features GPS through Wayfinder, although this needs a paid subscription to activate.

Being released in three different colors, a red, silver, and black, the Sony Ericsson W760 promises to fit almost any wardrobe. This intense little phone has all of the features that are expected of Sony products and the quality that Sony excels at. This small phone is being called the World’s Walkman, and has the potential to keep the world connected, even when far apart.

Pros

-This phone can be used anywhere in the world. That makes it great for people who travel a lot or those visiting other countries for an extended period.
-With the ability to play great music, the need for a second piece of equipment, such as a MP3 player is avoided.
-Able to take photos, this camera can display and send photos to friends around the world almost instantly.
-With the wider screen, images appear better and can be more comfortably seen.
-With the GPS, one never has to worry about getting lost again. There will be no more running to the half-abandoned gas station in the middle of nowhere to find how to get from one point to another. It adds a lot of safety to the phone.
-40 MB’s of internal memory, with a 1GB memory card to enhance the memory capabilities of the phone.

Cons

-The GPS feature must be paid for separately; it is not included in the cost of the phone.
-The Internet connection is not paid for in the cost of the phone, but must be purchased through the AT&T carrier.
-The internal antenna can make reception iffy in certain parts of the world, and in others, non-existent.
