Protandim on Amazon? Are your Products even from the Company?
Protandim and True Science are amazing products that are put out by the Life Vantage Company. They are what Products that are researched and proven through peer reviewed research. Peer reviewed research means that the several universities in the same line of study will look at the research and all agree on it before it is published.
The National Institue of Health is www.pubmed.gov . It is the place where doctors can go to do legitimate research that is published from all over the whole world. Oxidative stress is the damage caused by the buildup of free radicals or Oxidants that damage the internal parts of the cell.
Protandim’s first patents says that “An antioxidant-promoting composition that increases antioxidant defense potential in a subject is disclosed comprising Bacopa monniera extract; milk thistle extract, ashwagandha powder, green tea extract, Gotu kola powder, Ginko biloba leaf extract; Aloe vera powder; turmeric extract; and N-acetyl cysteine. The antioxidant-promoting composition of the invention safely induces cellular antioxidant potential to achieve an overall net decrease in oxidative stress without the undesirable side-effects associated with the individual components of the antioxidant-promoting composition. Also disclosed is a method for reducing the undesirable side-effects of free radicals in a subject by administering to a subject in need of such antioxidants an effective amount of antioxidant-promoting composition of the invention.”
To summarize, Compositions for alleviating inflammation and oxidative stress in a mammal.
That’s right any mammal. There are several pets seeing results with Protandim! The patent showed that any mammal that was given Protandim would reduce their oxidative stress. The claims of the Patent are listed below.
Claims
1. A composition comprising: (a) at least about 150 milligrams Bacopa monniera extract, wherein said Bacopa monniera extract is comprised of 45 percent bacosides; at least about 225 milligrams silybum marianum (milk thistle) extract, wherein said milk thistle extract is comprised of between about 70 percent and about 80 percent silymarin; at least about 150 mg Withania somnifera (ashwagandha) powder; at least about 75 milligrams Camellia sinensis (green tea extract); wherein said green tea extract is comprised of 98 percent polyphenols; said polyphenols comprised of 45 percent (?)-epigallocatechin gallate; at least about 75 milligrams Curcuma longa (turmeric) extract; wherein said turmeric extract is comprised of 95 percent curcumin; wherein the composition increases the enzyme activity level of at least one antioxidant enzyme selected from the group consisting of: superoxide dismutase and catalase and decreases the plasma concentration level of thiobarbituric acid reactive chemical species, when administered in an effective amount to a mammalian subject in need thereof.
2. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition is formulated as an oral dosage form.
3. The composition according to claim 2, wherein the oral dosage form is selected from the group consisting of: a tablet; capsule; and caplet.
Protandim went on to gain 4 patents total so far.
PATENTS
So here is something to consider when thinking about purchasing Protandim from Amazon or another online bargain shopping place.
If it is against company policy to sell Protandim on Amazon, do you know what your getting. It could be a rebottled item. It could be left it someone’s car or in the sun or out in the cold or be several years old. The potentcy of the product could be compromised. Since the company doesn’t allow bargain selling like on Amazon, you have to wonder about the integrity of the product since it’s seller’s is in question.
