Final Fantasy Cosplay, It’s Your Time!

Final Fantasy has released 14 “numbered” games in the main series, and 28 total games that include spin-offs and sequels. With the consistent development of the series, mobs of fanatics and fans love to do Final Fantasy Cosplay inch by inch. The game literally kept Square from going out of business in 1987, as they were about to file bankruptcy and it was possible, as noted before, that the game would be their last project. The game has had installments appear on no fewer than 14 different consoles and handhelds, and that doesn’t include the various versions that are available on certain phones. As of a year ago, the franchise was responsible for selling over 100 million units of software, which again doesn’t count sales of games on phones.

Debuting in 1987 for the Famicom system in Japan, the game was an absolute success, and has sparked a ton of sequels consist of Final Fantasy Cosplay, spin offs, game cosplay costumes, films, mobile games, animated series, and licensed materials. There’s some debate as to whether or not the Final Fantasy brand is the most widely distributed video game franchise of all time considering all of the forms it’s taken through the years.

The Final Fantasy series was groundbreaking for RPG’s, but how were the endings? 411’s Gavin Napier takes a look at the endings of the first three games in the US franchise in this week’s This Is The End(ing)! Please focus on various franchises as we go. It’s hard to believe that this is starting the 4th “chapter” already, after moving through the Silent Hill, Uncharted, and Street Fighter cosplay titles. This is lucky column number thirteen, and next on my list is the Final Fantasy family of games. Don’t worry, I won’t be going through all million of them. I’ll tackle a couple of the early ones this week, move on to what is one of the more polarizing games in history next week, and finish up with some recent titles from the series in two weeks. For now, though, it’s time for some mail.

Gamers can experience the spot atmosphere in a Final Fantasy Cosplay convention. Here’s a list of things that will get covered at some point in the near future for the column. Let your voice be heard, click on one of those choices, and seal my fate. It’s up to you to determine what I spend a couple of hours hacking away at a keyboard on next week to occupy this precious space on the internet.
