Politics and My personal; What Can We do?
Right after speaking to regular voters, fresh registered voters and those everything needed participating something has been made clear. We are fed up with the antics, we have been tired of self-serving elected officers, and we are tired of your stalemates and business not being taken care of. Many just don’t want to get involved , nor think it makes an improvement. But the truth is contrary to which. It won’t change till we send a new LOUD clear communication.
Residen tafter resident have distributed specific behaviors, along with of course Rod Blagojevich standing on the top of the list along with the many that knew however stood silently through and did nothing to stop the insanity of his governorship. The problem reports are more than I will count and some could be fables, just to share a few:
An elected recognized admitting at a public meeting that they humiliated during their campaign knowning that it was “Okay” to rest when trying to get selected.
Working a second job during the same periods they are supposed to be operating and collecting pay as an elected as well as appointed official.
Elected official touting that they are dedicated to making the government smaller while at the same time they created roles for friends along with campaign supporters at a cost (new spending)that could reach over $70,000 a year for you to taxpayers.
Elected recognized claiming to run a business office that was transparent however making it more difficult pertaining to tax payers to get information and even denying info requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
Elected officials committing a new felon then wanting to place a measure on it, “It was just a small felon…”
Elected officers verbally abusing employees and other elected administrators in the presence involving residents then venturing to question why residents don’t think fondly of these.
Elected officials as well as candidates threatening people with retaliation if they never let campaign signs to be placed on their property.
Providing taxpayers money to organizations then parading around promoting becoming if it was their very own money they contributed.
Elected officials improving the paid benefits of various other elected officials without right approval and in some cases flat out illegally. Then obviously the elected recognized that accepts this.
Destroying property of the taxpayers with no repercussions whatsoever.
While using the resources of the taxpayers (i.e. send, phones, copy machines) in promoting their campaign and/or governmental party affiliation.
These are just a few. Yes, just a couple and they are some of the really reasons why good folks are not getting involved. Examine them again, lying, cheating, abusing, frightening, destroying…this is not a list coming from some crime book. The condition in which we find our state, our own schools, our nation, our future is disheartening to say the least. We all good folks intend to make a difference, but self-serving, dishonest and bullying chosen and appointed officials make it difficult for a lot of to take the first step in to community service, straight into voting, into helping. But I’m here to inform you that we Ought to! There is a good chance that people will be overrun with selfishness and incompetence if we don’t. We have been close now, but nonetheless have a fighting chance.
