Xavier Thoma Holds M.Eng Degree In Engineering, Economics And Management

Xavier Thoma is a highly qualified and knowledgeable individual based in the United Kingdom. He attended Charlotte Country Day School from 1980 to 1990 for his primary schooling. Thereafter, his family moved to France and he enrolled at the American School of Paris. He completed his secondary education at the ASP and obtained the International Baccalaureate, a high-school diploma recognized worldwide. He studied higher level courses in Maths, Physics, English and French, and lower level courses in Economics and Psychology. He also attended an additional Theory of Knowledge (Philosophy) course and took part in pan-European Maths competition held in Sweden.

From 1992 to 1996, Xavier Thoma attended Oxford University for his Masters of Engineering degree in Engineering, Economics and Management. Over summers, he interned at Catimini, a French manufacturer of children’s clothes, and Citibank, in its credit advisory ratings practice. After completing his studies, Xavier joined JP Morgan & Co. Ltd. as Analyst and became Member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance Department. In 1999, he was promoted to be Associate. During his stint at JP Morgan & Co. Ltd. Xavier Thoma was responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis, managing due diligence and structuring transactions. He also wrote board documents, client presentations and information memoranda.

Xavier is an avid traveler who likes to discover new places, tastes, smells, cultures and sceneries. In recent years, he visited Namibia, Cuba, Brazil, Latvia, China, Zambia, Mozambique, Northern California and South Africa. He tries to put together one trip a year, and shares his traveling experiences on TripAdvisor. Furthermore, Xavier Thoma loves downhill skiing and goes skiing at least one week a year. He has an offshore boating license in France.
