Career History of Robert J. Gerberg

At Colgate University where he studied from 1982-1985, Robert Gerberg attained a Degree in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts. He has a Master’s in Business Administration, Finance & Marketing from University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. He completed his education at Harvard Business School where he advanced his studies and obtained executive apprenticeship, studied digital marketing and gained knowledge from leading professional service firms.

With a group of human resource directors, top executives and persons with ample expertise in the employment field, he created Advanced Career Technologies (ACT), a former dot com company with about 500 working professionals on both full and part-time basis. Since the birth of the firm, he has been a crucial component in its development phases including programming, technical, conceptual framework, first beta sites construction, collective database elements, design, and creation and assessment of private and corporate service demonstrations.

He has gained sufficient knowledge over the course of his career and achieved success in managing turnarounds into profitable enterprises, start-ups and administration of fast-paced growing firms. He has adequate knowledge in industries such as Internet, outplacement, and career consulting as well as recruiting.

Prior his association with ACT, he has also had experience in consumer packaged goods, retail, consulting services and publishing. His experience extends to working in marketing, sales and general management with new ventures and a Fortune 500 firm. He possesses expertise in various business areas consequential to ongoing and start-up undertakings including financial care, quality check, legal assistance, profit and loss accountability, new product advancement, human resources and recruiting, and search engine optimization.

Through his alumnus and college years, he obtained formidable experience in a few career affiliated and publishing businesses. He was the President of Princeton/Masters Press and published “An Easier Way to Change Jobs” book that saw over 500,000 copies in distribution. All licensees used the book for it gave them the basic system needed. It was one of the more favorable job searching books in the 1990’s.

From January 1986 – May 1989, he had worked with an eye care firm, Personal Products Division of Bausch & Lomb where he was Account Executive. While at the firm, he combined all authoritative levels and saw through on plans he had created and coordinated for customer service, fresh products and advertising. In the division’s most competitive environment in history, he emerged the company’s top producer.

Under his command, the private client service division of ACT has worked with C-level executives in Fortune 1000, executives faced with career challenges, young professionals as well as successful entrepreneurs who sought assistance. Some of the assignments this division has handled have been of a sensitive nature involving prominent persons including foreign ambassadors who have worked in U.S. administrations, member of a U.S president family, high level military individuals seeking to return to civilian life and athletes leaving their professional lives. Robert J. Gerberg Jr. has overseen other divisions in the firm including corporate, e-recruiting, senior executive outplacement, worldwide professional resume writing and technology.
