The Pretenders Studio: An All Rounded Dance Training Institution
The Pretenders Studio is a dance, health and fitness studio situated on 1635 16th street, Santa Monica California. The studio was established in the year 2007 and has a highly dedicated team of well trained college graduate teachers. These college trained teachers work closely to bring high quality training to students of all ages from 2 years and above. Some of the foremost dance categories are ballet, salsa, ballroom, tap, jazz, hip hop, yoga and contemporary among others.
The studio aims at teaching dance and performing arts to committed and talented as well as motivated students. The teachers at the studio encourage students to use the dancing skills they acquire in the studio, to extend their hands in charity and community outreach programs. At the studio, students can gain knowledge which they can use to be creative, enhance their movements as well as improve their passion for performing arts.
Products and services
The studio opens seven days a week from 2pm to 6:30 Pm on days such as Monday through Wednesday, 3pm to 6:30pm on Thursday and 3pm to 6:00 Pm on Friday. The studio offers some attractive discounts for various customers such as Santa Monica residents and adult students. The Pretenders Studio dance program is a non competitive program, which aims at enhancing the dancing skills of individual dancers.
The program helps students to create positive thinking as well as accept challenges in dancing. The students at the studio maintain sterling performance every year after enrolling for the course. The dancing courses also aim at instilling discipline as well as other qualities while students have fun, and expand their creativity and structure.
The programs also use some key aspects of health training such as resistance training, aerobics and stretch. This enables students to train in dancing as well as maintain a healthy well toned body. After taking the classes, many students find that they boost their sportsmanship, confidence and self esteem among others.There is also a distinct class known as the kids theatre workshop. This class specializes in training students on general theatre performance such as acting. They explore the various aspects of theatre such as character building, writing, auditions tips, movement and many others.
Charity work
The studio supports various institutions and charity organizations such as spark of love toy drive, children’s hospital of Los Angeles, the upward bound house, and LAPD canine association. In addition, it also supports sunrise assisted living pacific palisades, save our schools campaign, Claire’s place foundation, Charlie foundation and many more.
