It’s the Color

Headlight bulbs, whether they are halogen, xenon or HID (High Intensity Discharge), are often either bright white or warmly yellowish in color.  These are the most common colors

The colors yellow and white are two the most common light bulb shades for either home lighting and headlight bulbs or car bulbs.  Bulbs that produce a “bright white” type of light are often referred to as daylight light bulbs while those producing a “warm white” light output, which is somewhat yellowish in tone, is referred to as a soft white light bulb.

At home, many of the modern lighting systems already use daylight bulbs instead of soft white ones as they produce a more natural light output in comparison to the latter. It is also best used for reading and it also complements to a home with warm colors as motif.  Soft white light bulbs are still best used though to set the mood and are said to help improve complexion and make food in the dining table more appetizing.

When referring to headlamp bulbs or car led bulbs,  the soft white ones would pretty much be the ones commonly installed in a conventional vehicle right after it comes out from manufacturing plants – for which is more or less the very common incandescent bulb.  Bright white light bulbs would be more of the car bulbs that upgraded to HID Xenon.

Selecting between bright white light producing bulbs and yellow ones is in a big way a matter of personal preference.  It is really up to the owner or the one to purchase and use the set of light bulbs on which they would opt for.

Both have their own set of advantages and disadvantages.  Perhaps the best way to benefit from both types of light bulbs is to install a combination of both in your homes. While for vehicles, it would be best to go for HID xenon like car bulbs as they increase the functionality of your vehicle and make for a safer driving experience especially when out in the roads at night. Bright white light producing bulbs provide a clearer view for those driving at night on dim roads, dark alleys and low-lit streets.  It can also minimize foggy visions and can light up the front view of the vehicle operator in much more scope than incandescent ones.

Whichever it is that you choose, make sure it is appropriate for your purpose of installation.
