Cleaning the Patio Pavers
The patio pavers can be completely low on the maintenance part but that does not mean they are completely free from the maintenance. You do need to maintain these pavers and keep them protected from the stains as well as the dirt by cleaning them regularly. The most difficult on maintenance part can the brick pavers which tend to absorb different kinds of stains, thus making it difficult to restore its original property. Regular cleaning is therefore required, no matter what material you are using for paving.
While sweeping the pavers, the very first thing that you should keep in mind is that the corners should be cleaned very well. This is especially important if the corners are against buildings. Examine them for the discoloration as well as stains. If heavy staining is being observed, you can use simple detergent or dish liquid to clean the pavers immediately. Sloshing the soapy water on the patio pavers and using the broom can be a good idea of cleaning the certain kinds of materials such as brick or clay. Spray clean water from the bucket or the hose several times and let it dry.
Pressure washer can be a good idea for the patio pavers if heavy soiling has been done. Extremely high pressure should also be avoided because it may damage materials like bricks and the natural stone. Pressure using the nozzle with the garden hose can suffice the purpose.
Another good way of cleaning can be to use water solution and the bleach. Using the scrub brush for the patches of something like mold can be a good idea as well. In case heavy molding has been done, it would be good to scrape affected areas using brush or the shovel. Washing the area thereafter with water and soap along with bleach solution would do your task of removing the mold.
In case you observe any paint stains, it would be good to remove it with the cloth towel (in case they are fresh). Thereafter, you can scrub it with the soapy water. Make sure that you don’t wipe the stains of paint. It is good to absorb them. Using paint thinners or turpentine can press the paint deeper. Try to avoid it. In case the paint is dry, try to scrape it off. Use paint stripper for the remainder.
