Sony HDR-CX160 AVCHD camcorder and import avchd video to FCP
What camcorder do you own? Which camcorder do you like best? In my opinion, Sony handycam is a good choice.
The Sony HDR-CX160 is full record 1920 x 1080p high definition, and CX160 has 16GB built in, and the XR160 incorporates a 160GB hard disk and 5.1-channel audio. This Handycam with up 6 hours of recording directly onto the device will give you the other memory. The 42x zoom gives you close shots even when you are far away and the bock-illuminated “Exmore R” sensor makes this camera better than all the rest in low-light situations. This should be the favorite of any parent out there going from event to event without a lighting kit. You will actually be able to hear the children and see them as you film in various situations. The optical steady shot helps you take incredible video even if you don’t have time to set up a tripod.
Besides, the CX160 also comes equipped with a number of user-friendly shooting controls. These controls help take the guesswork out of filming, allowing you to focus on the moment and not futzing with the camera’s settings. Such functions include Intelligent Auto, Golf Shot, and Tracking focus, just to name a few. Of course the work isn’t over after you’re done shooting, Sony provides editing software with the CX160 for making the most of your videos. When you’re done styling your masterpiece, the software can give a way to upload the videos to the sites like Facebook and YouTube for sharing. Maybe the video format is not supported by, or you want edit your video with iMo vie or final cut pro you can import mts files into imo vie first with a imo vie converter for mac, and with this you also can import mts into final cut pro for editing.

The good: A wide-angle lens, built-in USB cable, and consistently good automated behavior highlight the otherwise no-frills Sony Handycam HDR-CX130, CX160, and XR160 camcorders.
The bad: The sub-HD resolution sensor on these camcorders produces merely satisfactory video.
The bottom line: Typical for their price class, the no-frills Sony Handycam HDR-CX130, CX160, and XR160 produce generally subpar HD video, but if you’re not picky you’ll probably be fine. The CX130 is the best buy of the three, as long as you go cheap on the memory card.
