Monolithic towers of Wadi Al’Ghool provide Alpine style climbing while reaching a maximum height of 300 metres. Jabal Mishfat provides a challenging route at a height of 120 to 500 m. jabal Misht, the Oman’s ideal climbing location beat these all routes, is considered to be the one of the largest climbable sides of Arabian Peninsula. This route also provides Alpine style climbing.
Traditional Oman villages are still personified with the life of Omanis in the past along with all its simplicities and difficulties. The people of these villages lead a fairly simple life fulfilling basic needs by the use of natural resources. The villages included among the traditional villages of Oman are Al Ashkharah, Badiya, Balad Sayt, Khumzar village and Lima village.
Souqs are the traditional Arabic market places. These can be found throughout the towns and villages of Oman. The souq in Mutrah is one of the oldest preserved market place. The Mutrah souq is a maze of pathways. The prices aren’t fixed and are normally bargained for. Gold, silver, wooden carvings, ornaments and spices are sold in these souqs.
