Instructor – How to choose a mentor makes a difference
I am a public school teacher. My wife is a public school teacher. My peers in public school teachers. It seems to have a common frustration for us all. So many times in our schools, we see teachers struggle to give attention to every student needs in overcrowded classrooms. The child who is lagging behind more and more frustrated because he needs someone, anyone, to help him through this one topic, but he could not get what he need to pay attention in class more than thirty students. This is a topic of frustration becomes two topics (because the second theme, created the first one), and then two topics becomes three students until it is depressed, he or she was completely abandoned. There is also the gifted students who complete their work quickly, but for the majority of sitting in class waiting for others to catch up. Gifted students behind, not on the grade book, but rather seek to realize their potential. There is also the students and the learning disability or attention disorder, can you imagine how they feel.
So many good teachers there are doing their utmost to meet the needs of these students, but it is now almost impossible. Place the room, before the old wardrobe or trailers and class size increase every year. Need to supplement the education and support of students has become more important than ever.
Parents usually have a few places they can be opened. They will ask neighbors, who may then refer them to the people in the street, they hear the teacher. Or, they will ask the school guidance office who gave them a list twenty tutors or tutoring services. They will ask my teacher too, but most schools do not allow teachers to counsel students from the same school teacher compensation and the time before or after the school is not enough.
The problem is the fact that parents run into, even if they find a tutor, they do not know anything about mentors. They do not have the background of the instructor. They know very little about the qualifications. If they do not fit the schedule of the tutor them. Then there is the price of this awkward conversation (even more embarrassing, if a friend or neighbor.)
These are all obstacles, to find a good teacher. A counseling service can help, but it is important to ask these key questions:
How do I know that if your service teacher qualified?
I have no choice of mentors, I can choose?
I can see the personal information or background and qualifications, all of your mentor, so I can make a choice?
How do I know my tutoring service area?
How do I know what the timetable for my mentor?
How much will this cost? Is the pre-counseling services, prices, or they let you call their number and set up a consultation before you know the price?
If I am not completely satisfied with the tutor, I can quickly switch?
When my wife and I created a tutoring business, we decided to ensure that the answer is in the early stage of our website. We carefully selected and pre-screened by our instructors, including extensive interviews, criminal background checks and reference checks. We publish the qualifications, philosophy, teaching methods and progress of the availability of the site. Our pricing information is clearly posted on the parents. We publish our ideas. We have the right to parents to schedule an immediate supervisor on the site. It is our goal is to find a cost-effective and convenient tutoring. These gaps, we found that when we see the futility of parents looking for tutors. That is what you should look for when you select a counseling service.
Remember, your time is valuable, has the power to choose who is to educate those who spend a lot of time with your children you should not be taken lightly.
