The Various Kinds Of Art Forms
Art is a special type of language. It is a language that can be understood visually. Like poems and stories art has been able to convey a wide range of message to the people. Now it depends on the people as to whether they have understood the meaning or not. Over the years art has developed in its own way but the basics have remained the same. Now art has various forms as we all know.
First we take the case of abstract paintings. This is such a type of art where the artist creates in his painting a level of independence that can be observed if we visualize it carefully. From the ancient times when renaissance started to the most recent time’s abstract paintings has been one of the best visuals that can create a sense of illusion in our mind. Abstract painting is similar to the following kinds of painting as well:
• Nonobjective art
• Nonfigurative art
• Nonrepresentational art
But the thing is that they are quite similar to what they really speak about the painting. Abstract in its real form means something out of the imaginary. It does not represent any exact or accurate shape yet it defines a unique character in its own way of the highest degree.
Now a family painting is very different from the traditional abstract paintings. Where an abstract painting does not have a definite shape yet can give a view of illusion, a family painting on the other hand is a normal painting or photograph containing one or more persons. Such a drawing reflects a person’s emotions or mood. In this kind of painting the person or persons are in still position and has their face faced towards the painter.
Another form of painting is oil painting. This type of painting is mostly seen in Europe and is made with the help of drying oil and pigments. The best oil that is used in oil painting is linseed oil. The main advantage of this kind of oil is that they are very glossy in nature. However oils such as safflower oil or walnut oil are also used in some cases because of their various drying capability. Although these oils are used occasionally, the sheen of the drawing or painting depends on the texture or oil quality. It has been seen that various types of oil are used in the same painting by a single artist. This is because they know what the advantages and disadvantages of the oils are and hence are sure enough to use them in the same painting. Some people have a fascination to make a painting of their pets. Such pet paintings are quite expensive as it takes a lot of effort to make them. The owner of the pet needs to make sure that their pets remain in a fixed position so that the artist does not have a problem in painting. Also there are cases of wedding paintings. People tend to keep their wedding picture as a memoir and hence have a desire to keep them get it painted by some famous artist.
