That car had a matte-blue paint job, a sportier body kit, and the 360-hp, turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five engine from the Audi TT RS. The Q3 RS remains a concept for now, though Audi is apparently considering eventually putting it on sale.
As for the Q5, Audi is reportedly rolling out a fast version to compete with the powerful crossovers and SUVs offered by rivals like BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Pick your satisfied AUDI A6 DVD, BMW E46 Navigation, or AUDI A4 Navigation. It’s possible this new version of the Q5 could be called the Q5 S or Q5 RS. Auto Express asserts that the new model will use a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter diesel V-6 with 309 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. If so, that would be enough to send the spicier Q5 from 0 to 62 mph in five seconds flat, and on to a top speed of 155 mph.
The first of the Audi R18 Ultra TDI race cars sits third with Romain Dumas, Loic Duval and Marc Gene handling the driving duties at 3:26.494, joined by the Toyota TS030 hybrid of Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima at 3:27.191.
