Teaching with a TEFL course
If the idea of teaching is something that has always interested you and it is something that you have been considering as your future career, taking a TEFL course is a great way to get started on this career path. This course is a great way to gain valuable experience teaching English as a foreign language as you get to delve into the world of teaching. In fact with the accredited TEFL courses you can then have the opportunity to travel to anywhere in the world to teach.
Taking a TEFL course
With a TEFL course there are a number of options available to you. If this is a career change for you or you have other commitments, it is possible to take a part time TEFL course to help to prepare you for teaching English as a foreign language. This course lasts for 12 weeks. However if you have the time to spare then the full time course is completed within 4 weeks, meaning you can get out and start teaching all the sooner. As well as this there are also distance learning courses which are available. This means that you can then work from home. There are 150 hour courses that have been designed to teach you all you need to know through videos, books and online tutors. Or there is also the option to study all the theory from home before doing practice classes face-to-face (in a classroom) which allows you to receive feedback. This is also an opportunity to put all the theory you have learnt from home into practice, before going out and doing it for real in one of your classes.
Accredited TEFL courses
Taking any of these accredited TEFL courses means that you can teach English in countries all over the world. Accredited TEFL courses are internationally recognised by organisations and institutions, which means that you could soon be teaching in countries such as China, Thailand, Poland, Korea or Indonesia to name but a few of your options. With just one qualification the travel possibilities are endless, making it a very worthwhile qualification to have.
