Driving Theory test and hazard perception
Knowing how to drive a vehicle is very necessary these days as vehicles have become one of the basic needs for everyone. This test contains multiple choice questions whereby you will be provided with a number of questions with a number of answers, up to six in total. You will have to pick the right ones. At times it could have 2 or more answers correct, so do read the question carefully.
In the hazardous perception test you will be shown a relevant video clip associated with driving, where it will have a developing hazard which you will have to identify and show your consciousness by simply clicking. You will be provided with a touch screen computer and headphones. You will get 14 video clips on the pc, each of about a minute. Each hazard will have a maximum of 5 points. You’ll need a total of 44 points out of 75 points to clear the exam.
You should take this tests very seriously as it is quite tough to clear them. To pass the theory test in the very first try it is best invest some time learning with the help of a book or an online theory test rather then risk failing and losing the booking fee. Most of the people don’t succeed in the theory test in their first attempt. Most likely this is the hazard perception video clips but could be multiple choice tests too. To raise your chances, it’s better to prepare yourself on a pc which has similar tests as those that done on the examination day.
For the practical test it is best to use a approved driving instructor (ADI) as they are qualified to teach learner drivers and also have a lot of experience teaching learners the skills they need. Small but important things get neglected if you plan to do it all by yourself. So, it’s preferable to learn from a trainer in a most convenient way rather than learning improper habits which are a hazard to you and also to other people that use the road. The instructor teaches you minor details about the driving, including all the rules and regulations required to be followed.
Once you have passed both practical and theory test you need to inform the DVLA within two years to acquire the full driving license. Else you will have to appear for these tests all over again. After you apply the DVLA will be sending your license in less than four weeks.
